Memphis Design was originally founded by Manfred Woodall in 2000 to support Blue Ruin Gallery, Pittsburgh. During that time Memphis Design provided design and marketing services not only to Blue Ruin, but to other small Pittsburg-based firms and organizations. We designed and produced the gallery's postcards, website, and signage. Starting in 2009, Memphis Design became a full service creative communications firm with both national and international clients. Clients have included Tollgrade Communications, Nicer Training, Irish Green Building Council, Veritas Communications, Cheetah Technology, Ann Arbor Biscuit Company.

Manfred Woodall is a creative communications professional with more than 10 years or writing, marketing, design, and web experience as both an in-house designer, creative services manager, and all around communications guru. Originally educated at CMU, Manfred beleives that all communication is important, and that every time you produce anything for consumption, it should be well-thought out, well-written, and expertly designed. And it is this passion for creative, strategic design and commmunications that has driven him to form his own firm, Memphis Design.
